Freeze Out A-Rod
As a long time Yankee Fan (1960) I am appalled by the behavior of Joe Torre and A-Rod.
Although I am not a fan of the Steinbrenners I respect their efforts to restore some sense of reason to the enormous salaries and bonus money for some of these players. As for Torre being disrespected, I don’t think being offered 5 million dollars for one year + bonuses at his age is disrespectful. What did he expect for failing in the first round for three consecutive years? A raise!! I sincerely hope that A-Rod never gets what he is demanding, it is outrageous, even for a great player.
You will find me at Yankee Stadium next year rooting on a new team with exciting young talent. Win or lose I am a Yankee.
